Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
